Founded on November 13, 2001 NU Foundation
for Community Partnerships became a registered society in British Columbia, Canada. Initially as a Board of Directors there were 4 youth and 10 adults who all took the time in one way or another to participate in the act of practicing democracy. The foundation called NU Foundation for Community Partnerships was founded with youth for youth, and with adults who believed in the youth themselves. Importance is given here to the youth as a reminder of what they are capable of, and how youth as a population peer group can impact their surroundings in a positive way. Our founding philosophy is a commitment to reach all children with the message that we care by actively participating in community activism on a Provincial/State/National & International level. |
